Love the idea of the competitive league, would be great to dispel that stigma with the team's positive attitude. Also, the pre-recorded AoS sounds great too, would love that to be a way for you guys to also explore other games like MESBG, Star Wars etc too.

The eldar codex is ridiculous and looks utterly un-fun to play against. Their fragility means little in 40K nowadays but their speed and offense is the most important thing in 40K and they have it in spades. Liam was trying new units, was largely unfamiliar with the army and the game was not representative of the real strength of this codex which everyone playing agreed was S tier.

I have been catching up with this week´s streams in a relatively short time frame and noticed something: how is "Right?" with a picture of you not already a shirt design? 😅

I play for fun rather than competetive, usually with a specific gimmick like my orks horde, 120 boys with 3 painboys and 3 warbosses and just run forward ignoring trying to give myself cover so its literally just a horde of orks, then i have meks guns converted from ordnance batteries with big meks with shock attack cannons My grey knights ive converted my interceptors to have marine jump packs, 3x 10 man squads, hugely inefficient, but i dont care since i love large units of grey knights launching themselves around the board... despite still believing all marine units should just be units of 5 😂 Find an aspect of your army you enjoy most and lean heavily into it 😀 and try not to be so concerned with it not being efficient

Thought the title was click bait, but no. Sorry to hear all of this, it really sucks. Being scammed isn't fun; in my experience it hurts your pride most of all. But that's a lot of money, and I also hate to think of you not being able to meet your business financial commitments - Joe's salary, rent. Since I'm watching this late, I'm hoping it's on the way to be sorted by now.

I love the idea of some competitive games, as much as some idiots give competitive 40k a bad name. I play competetive, but it's not a win at all cost, it's play to win but it must be fun for all involved. I'm glad to see you try and show the competitive side of the hobby in a good way that most of us do. I'm all here for it.

Is there a level of fraud protection available to you? This happened to me very long ago...and I was the accountant. Ever since then I analyze all transactions daily and tag anything suspicious. Even if it turns out to be legit.

3:47:35 I think anyone who says competitive play can’t be fun/interesting/engaging is 100% wrong For me, what makes competitive play less interesting is the armies on the table reflect their narrative less and less. Although I don’t want to go back to them, I did like how the old necron decurion style detachments gave you access to rules which benefited your army when taking combinations of units. For example, for space marines, if your army had 1 captain, 1 chaplain, 6 tactical squads, 2 assault squads and 2 devistator squads, your army could add up to 8 dedicated transport units to it for 0 points. Now while I admit 8 dedicated transport units for 0 points is OP, when these detachment like rules existed, competitive player’s armies looked like how they were described in the lore And I think competitive play needs to go back to that.

I do agree with Joe that all the different blood surge moves are confusing. I think an even simpler way of implementing it is (like Joe said) have an ability called Bloodsurge that units can have. If they want a unit to be able to make this move and end in engagement range of an opponents unit, that can be the units special rule. For example, Beserkers could have the "Blood surge" ability and their special unit rule could be "When this unit makes its Blood surge move, it can end this move within engagement range of enemy models"

Fun game. No matter how “busted” or “OP” some armies can be perceived the game proved that as always the roll of a dice can change everything. Some of the unluckiest rolling I’ve seen (but funny). Joe’s face was a picture on poor Liam’s luck. Purple channel dice ftw. 😂

I think one of the biggest balance problems is competitive vs. casual garage gaming.. I tend to love playing tech armies, usually choose not to go that route because I will roll over the casual gamer friends I play against the most. There are a few armies that are considered competitively not great, but just roll over casual players and don't use lube..

I knew some xwing playertesters, some of the best players in the world. They play tested the jumpmaster and it was a good ship, strong, but not over bearing. The company then made some tweaks afterwards... After they were told it's great... The changes made it so strong it dominated every tournament, won worlds 3 years in a row after like 5 nerfs, and broke the game so much, they had to release a new edition, which lead to the death of the game... Companies need to listen to playtesters, they are in that position for a reason

I figure that the main reason for these AoP rules is that the real motivation for GW to do this is for advertising and they only want to promote armies that represent the product lines as intended.

Public playtesting would be terrible. Ive waded into the cesspool of reddit to try and reason with the masses, and theyre all unhinged. There is a very vocal group on the internet that would love to nerf eldar into oblivion for little reason, and tragically they currently hate eldar for a 435 combo that can kill anything in the game regardless of durability and investment in the combo.

Last time my mobile network operator tried something like this (we send you SMS blah blah blah), I demanded proof that they send this SMS. In less than 12 hours money was back in my account. Most of the time it's inside job, not some random scammer.
